Default Windscreen wash problems

In the last 2 days our windscreen washers have stopped working properly. The pump is still running and a small squirt comes from the jets but that is it, I've put 2 litres of water in just in case the wash has turned to jelly but it hasn't helped. Any ideas anybody?

Filter might be blocked in the bottle, I would start there Tony, then fit Ford Fusion jets, miles better

The filter in the washer bottle is most likely clogged.
There is probably a "proper" or easier method to unclog, but I did it how I had done it before..
I disconnected washer pipe (beneath the bonnet soundproofing).
Opened the washer bottle cap, connected the compressor to the rubber pipe, and gave a few quick blasts of compressed air back up thru the washer bottle. Plenty of crud came out. I then put a hose into the bottle, and let overflow for 5 mins, to get rid of any remaining debris.
No doubt someone will be along shortly to give the correct procedure for cleaning the filter.😄

Looks like I've got a job for tomorrow then.

Also check the valve under the bonnet soundproofing (looks like a T piece). Disconnect the pipe from the washer bottle and try the washers. If the valve fails it can prevent water getting to the washers properly

Cleaning the screenwash bottle is easiest done by removing the front bumper but it can be done by "keyhole surgery" by undoing the wheel arch liner. Remove the pump and rubber grommet/filter. Wash the filter in hot soapy water. Make a mild bleach solution with hot water in a watering can or similar, flush the bottle several times then rinse with copious amounts of water. Reassemble everything and refill the bottle.

try putting a pin into the nozzle where the water comes out, it could be clogged
