75 Saloon Parcel Shelf Removal (with rear blind)
I'm trying to remove my parcel shelf to tend to a rear blind that has stopped working. I've got as far as having everything removed that needs to be and have managed to dislodge the shelf and move it forwards about an inch. However, it's a very tight fit and I'm struggling to get it past the wiring that runs down either side of the rear windscreen. I'm afraid to bend the shelf too much at the risk of breaking it or the blind mechanism. Does anyone have any tips for getting it out?
(Sorry, not the best photo) Thanks for any help

I'll have a read and another try. It didn't help that I was trying to remove it in the dark.

Managed to get the parcel shelf out today. It put up quite the fight but I got there in the end. I had to remove the radio amplifier/filter gubbins from the d-posts to get enough clearance.
Removed the motor, stripped it down. Found that the spring clip that pushes the magnets apart inside the motor had become dislodged somehow. Put it back together again and it's now working... sort of. The blind is very slow to come up, taking about 10 seconds with the engine running. It won't even come up at all without the engine running. I'm guessing there's too much friction somewhere. I think I should've cleaned the old grease out the motor gear mechanism and replaced with new. Also the arms of the blind don't slide in the track as nicely as I think they should. More work required
