I do like the long exposure on the fire shot Peter. Light-trails do work very well in some photos and your shot is one such example.
Stuart - I like the first shot in your series above. Action-stopping shots like that require a good deal of skill to capture just right. |

I have to say the first shot was my favorite of the day as well Simon. I took 800 shots in 2 hours, 14gb of pictures to look through when I got home - got about 5% keep rate out of them, which I was quite happy with.

and i thought the 1k i took on holiday over 2 weeks was a lot, lol, be more this year having been practising and having some ideas to try.

It's easy to get carried away with a D-SLR and a high-capacity memory card. Myself and two other friends took nearly 2500 shots between us for a wedding shoot earlier this year, we could have took more but two of us ran out of space!
