I think I used the fittings on the pipes I brought to them, and they just took them off, fitted them to the hose and crimped the fittings! But darn if I can remember!
But seriously, how unusual can these be???

And why exactly when bridging the oil side it wouldn't leak oil in coolant anymore, but when bridging the coolant it still would? And also what do you mean with "no, not on it's own"?

By chance I came across the old oil pipes between the cooler and the pump.
Each is missing the fitting one end, so that is what I used. The old fittings on a new HP pipe.

Oil cooler cancel
I closed the oil outlet and inlet holes on the oil pump with bolts.
I didn't do it by adding the pipes together like you did. Does anyone claim that closing the oil outlet and inlet holes will have a negative effect? |

No it does not. They are only a port . If anything the pressure will be better , as it then is all directed without bypass... Did mine years ago .. The coolers may be ok for towing and a lot warmer climates, but here in the uk , not really necessary . The auto box on the kv6 does have a temperature limiter for the box inside , that allows only basic use , once the box gets too hot . After cooling down it reverts back to normal operation. I experienced it once after some ... shall we say "spirited driving " .. on a very warm day , and maybe the cooler would have helped keep the engine/box cooler .. but doubtful ..
