Default The dreaded click

Seems I've got the dreaded click. Used the rear electric blind Friday, Saturday went to show my daughter and all I get is a faint click from the parcel shelf.

If I try to pull the blind should I be able to pull it up?

Can't face doing it in the cold, will have to wait to spring but I'm so disappointed. Tried thumping the parcel shelf but it has not worked

As far as I am aware the blind can't be pulled up manually and doing so may cause damage to the motor.

I know some people 'tap' the motor from underneath and this might get it back into action, although do so with caution as the magnets can crack.

It may come back of it's own accord. Mine intermittently stopped working and I kept trying it - one day it sprang back into life and now I leave it up and put it up and down once a week to keep the motor running.

Default Rear blind

The grease in the little worm drive gearbox tends to dry out with age, and can become quite stiff - cold weather could make a difference. Maybe try warming it up somehow, or wait for warmer weather. Or, the end caps may be catching on the parcel shelf?

Mine sometimes doesn't work in warmer weather, when you ususally need it. It does seem to have a mind of it's own with the temperature
