You're welcome, and a switch should be easily available

Graham, if you get stuck for genuine parts we have Quickco at Rainton Meadows Ind est. They are normally the same price as Rimmers as they are an x part supplier and if not in stock they can get the part the next day. I got mine from there a couple of years back. I'd unplug the switch and bridge the plug with a paperclip or wire with the ignition on to make sure the lights work. Changing the switch is a doddle, ,i just used a ring spanner.

It's not the switch itself but a lack of travel .
And you can repair it easely : RevSW mod.jpg Cheers Mike |

Many thanks for the info and photos. Wish I had found them earlier. Just replaced mine; not sure if it was duff when I bought it with the 2nd hand gearbox of what. Anyway, took the old one out and tested it; no contact at all no matter how fully depressed the plunger was. Fitted a new one and all is happiness and (reversing) light! Thought the reversing sensor bleeper was a bit quiet but better with me sitting inside with the engine running. One more job off the list. Thanks again.
