750 -Test Drive on You Tube
This is a 3 minute video showing a test drive of the 750, only problem is the driver is giving a commentary in Chinese, if anyone can speak mandarin please translate !
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SnA5ulx33M When you have seen the video click on the other link beneath to get a much older promotional video in German and there are also lots of Rover comments on the same page

this clip doesn't say which engine the car has got, but i'll translate it anyway.....
:"the power delivery is progressive, rather than rapid, unlike the manufacturer claimed......." "0-62 feels quicker than the 10.2 on the paper......" "at the top of the torque curve, which is around the 4000RPM, that's where you hit the sweet spot...." "the leather uphosterd seat is a little bit on the firm side, doesn't grip your body that well......." "the overall design of the centre console and dial is fairly attractive" "the suspension is on the soft side, and is comfort orientated, rather than sporty. When cruising at high speed, the tyre noise is kept to a minimum" ~the end~ |

Very interesting. Good spot!
Those old German promo films there with the Roewe seem to feature a RHD car in Paris, and a LHD car somewhere exotic where you drive on the left by the ocean...Australia? As for the 750's engine, there's a big D badge on the boot. Even under a big plastic cover, it doesn't look all that big... |
