V6 Rattle
Hi all, my ZT180 has a rattle on start up that lasts around a minute or so then goes away, I've changed the oil to no avail, it sounds like plastic slapping near the inlet manifold but then stops after a minute?

If it were a failed vis motor, half open/closed highlighting a worn manifold I would expect it to be a constant rattle.

It is very likely the butterflies loose on the rod - or even off the rod. For some reason it makes most noise on start up -- initially. Eventually it becomes more constant, and you will have to do some surgery or replacement unless you want the car to sound like a bad diesel.
