Streaming video problem
This one has me in a bit of a quandary
Wifi lappy runs streaming video for about 30 seconds and then freezes. Same lappy connected by cable has no problem. OS is Vista Home and I can't see what to adjust to fix it. Any ideas please? |

Speedtest
I do not know about wireless & dropped conncections, but you could compare your wired vs wifi download speeds to see if there is a huge difference.

Wi Fi is not very good at shifting huge lumps of data, such as for video streaming. The speed of your broadband is not affected by how you connect the lappy.
If you need to move "big data" then forget about WiFi. Cable connection every time. More reliable, secure etc........
