Thanks for posting the pics - some stunning cars there.

Must have taken some organising to get all those cars parked up like that. Looks like something was salvaged from the day afterall.

What a cracking day.
Up at 7:30 am at the premier in Rubery where we spent the Friday night with others, only to be greeted by snow and the news the POL was cancelled. headed to the M&S carpark to be met by the police who told us the rover meet was not allowed and we wouldn't be allowed to stop and we should go on our merry way, parked up and had a chat with Reebs who was doing his absolute best to make head or tail as to what the situation was. Coventry motor museum was mentioned as a possible venue and we heard a few cars had decided to go there.
Set off to Coventry Museum and we were some of the first cars to park on the area directly in front of the doors of the Museum, right in the centre of town, we filled the car park with around 70 cars of all rover and zt variants, many clubs, one interest, just how it should be. Excellent museum and just across the road far too many shop for the wife. Reebs arrived later in the day and like us suitably impressed.

Two tables booked in the premier inn tonight, one for 12 and another for 25!!

And all that chocolate to look forward to tomorrow.......

We got the call at 7.05 am from a club friend telling us that POL was cancelled. By that time we were at the Bristol Airport junction having set off from Newton Abbot Devon at 6.00 am. We decided to turn round and go home.
The annoying thing is that up to that point and for the rest of the day we have had sunny weather down here in the West Country and find it hard to believe that the Midlands have snow!!
We were really looking forward to our first visit to POL, and a day off from work so were very disappointed.
We also had with us a friend who is an ex Longbridge worker who was looking forward to going back and meeting up with ex colleagues.
Hopefully we will have another chance to go next year.

I can only echo what Dave (Stocktake) has said, a cracking day - if not eventful

Woke up to this sight at the Premier Inn

Then drove over to the M & S car park to find Police and many confused MG Rover Owners

So after several calls to Coventry Transport museum and a trip back to the Premier Inn for a natter and VIS Motor check with Simondi's ZT, it was off on a brisk road run down to the Coventry museum where we found a miniature POL going on, complete with Monogram display

Lagoon......nice

Then a quick look round inside

Before heading back to the hotel now for some supper

Only in Britain can you wake up in a snow storm and end the day with a sunburn

Roll on the chocolate tomorrow
