FS: New Webasto Telestart T100 HTM
Hi All
Another of those projects that just isn't going to happen..... ....So I have for sale brand new boxed items that convert your normal diesel auxiliary fuel burning heater to a full blow remote controlled / timed diesel parking heater. With those cold winter nights (& days!) not too far away perhaps now is the right time to consider this upgrade. It isn't too difficult - routing a few wires around the cabin, undoing a few screws, and running (if I understand correctly) 4 wires to the fuel burning heater (just in front of the battery). The Telestart T100 HTM kit comprises a control box, remote control handset (from which you can set your desired departure time and cabin temp), receiver aerial and wiring loom. Also included is the 1533 timer which would sit in the armrest cubby box and allows local control and timing of the heater as well. This plugs directly into the HTM100 loom. More details at www.parkingheater.com £275 inc p&p should do it. Paypal +4% unless it is a bank or balance funded personal payment (which don't attract fees apparently). Please don't worry about me freezing my n**s off this winter - yp53 already has the basic T80 kit fitted  cheers simon Last edited by yp53; 13th October 2008 at 14:28.. |

Simon
I changed from a T80 to a T100 HTM last winter realy easy to do all you have to do is remove the extra wires from the T100 loom for the temp sensor and fit to your existing one everything else is identical I have the timer but never ever use it as the T100HTM includes a predictive timer as well, you tell it what time you are leaving and it works out when it needs to switch on I then sold the T80 on here |

Thanks Keith
I did contemplate the change, then came to my senses (yp53 is mostly garaged and I only use the heater when I'm away in sunny Barrow). The T100 was overkill The main problem I had was that for some inexplicable reason the aerial connectors for my currently fitted T80 and the T100 are different. (The T80 was fitted at build so the wiring is integrated into the existing looms and hence not readily removable for resale). Although I could probably buy and fit the correct connectors to enable me to sell the T80 seperately I'm not sure its worth the effort. I'm happy to split the items (as I probably would for an ebay sale), so: £240 for T100 HTM £35 for the 1533 timer both inc p&p cheers simon |

I'd just like to recommend the T100 to anybody who might be undecided.
It's a "set it and forget it" device so you won't be walking out to your car when it's snowed under wishing you hadn't forgotten to switch the FBH on. I wouldn't be without mine now. |

I am considering buying something for my FBH on my 2001 CDT. But havent a clue where to start, I think i am really just needing the timer bit, can this be fitted on its own with the std FBH so that the car will be warm on a morning etc. If so how hard is it to fit ?? I have been reading about diodes and all sorts so a bit daunted by the whole thing. Thanks...Dean

Hi Dean
To use the timer alone, an extra loom is required. TBH I dont think I could be any further help here - yp53 already has the loom, timer and T80 kit fitted - the 1533 just happened to come with the T100 (which has the right loom and connector for the timer). I do know others have retrofitted timers & remotes....hopefully someone can point you to the right post cheers simon |

Hi Simon,
Not sure if you can tell me but what else is needed, how available and at what cost would it take to turn my late 03 CDTI into a fully operational FBH fitted CDTI? |
