I had three Cortinas
Mk4 1.6 in a disgusting ..bogey green Two Mk5s One a 1.6 GL in Brown that was a lovely car and was mint when I bought it One 2.0 Ghia complete with all the wood trim and dash in Blue. Now that really was nice... Not quite to Rover 75s of course! |

The last Cortina I had was a Mk5 in light metallic blue. Back then I advertised it in the "Loot" newspaper & a chap from Ireland got in touch with me & came over on the ferry the next day to collect/pay for it. I wonder if he was a Father Ted fan!!!! It was a mint condition car & not like the banger in the TV series.

Hey,
long time since this thread was active so I thought I would update it with this weekend's fun and games! The Marina developed a brake bind on one corner. After confirming the caliper was free and having only single circuit brakes, the only thing it could be was a brake hose. I ordered one off Ebay, (got two!) and fitted it on Friday. Happily it sorted it and I have been making the most of the nice weather this weekend. Here's some pics of the beast from today. It looked like rain so decided to put it back in the garage, took my daily car out and the damn EML came on!! If it's not one it's the other!!
