Ignition Lock
Hi I went to move my car today. Not been used in a while. All good.
I went to take the key out the ignition, but I must have pulled it slightly too soon before it was all the way round. Now I can't get the key back in (at all), or turn it manually. Steering lock hasn't engaged yet. Oh and I don't think it clocked, like they usually do. I tried a little WD40, but hasn't helped. Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips please? managed to sort it.
Procedure seamed to be: Get steering wheel locked. Force key in. Applied lots of WD40. Repeat as above about 3 times and seams to be back to normal with the spring doing its job again. Although no resistance when I put the key in now. Is that normal? |

It may be worth pulling the ign barrel out and giving it a damn good clean before it sticks permanently.
