That is the bit which is troubling me....
Bluetooth and WiFi and wireless keyboards, plus other systems may all run on 2.4Ghz, but not all 2.4Ghz equipment is necessarily using the Bluetooth system. If a plug in dongle is essential, the liklihood is that it is just a 2.4Ghz - none Bluetooth. Their is no USB port on the Firestick, into which a USB dongle can be plugged - any keyboard has to support Bluetooth.

Happy thread resurrection...
I got fixed up with a keyboard, all good with that. This week I found there was an Iphone app, which serves as both a replacement for the FireTV / stick remote and includes a useful keyboard. It also give you Alexa access. There is something similar for Android phones..

Yes, Amazon provide a Fire TV app for Android which lets you use the phone as a remote control / keyboard

I've just bought myself a used FireTV 2nd Gen, which is supposed to be better than the latest 3rd Gen. I relegated the original Fire Stick to the bedroom TV to turn that into a near smart TV.
Its much more responsive than my 1st Gen Firestick. I have updated it to the latest OS, now I'm just trying to work out how to get it to boot up and bypass all the Amazon bits.. AppStarter or similar.

AppStarter works fine, even with the latest OS updates on the FireTV Box.
On bootup, it goes to the usual Amazon screen initially, but after a few seconds, once it has fully booted, it swaps to the AppStarter menu screen with just your basic or selected Apps. Bypassing all the Amazon stuff..

I stopped using Kodi as pic resolution was rubbish on most channels which defeated the object of having a super 4k HD TV

Kodi oddity
I find my my no name bluetooth keyboard works fine with my Iphone, a pad (producing a : or and generally with Kodi, except that using it for Kodi I cannot type a colon instead, shifted or unshifted it produces a semi-colon .
Typing to Kodi using my Iphone and a Firestick control app, it produces the : and ; perfectly as required. = semi-colon
