Starting to get Lady Emma cleaned. Some three hours of jet washing the heavy soiling off and using some TFR (Traffic film remover) on the caked on bird poop etc. She is beginning to look more respectable.

I will be doing some snow foam next but will wait till she is out the water before compound polishing the hull. At that point we will be replacing the anodes, new antifoul and replace the packing glands on the shafts.

I would like to renew the tired canopy and have new pin stripes and decals. That will have to wait till the end of this season when I have saved a few more pennies up

Lady Emma is coming out of the water on the 7th of June.

She will be on the hard for a few weeks whilst we give her bottom a scrub, a new coat of anti foul paint, replace the anodes, new shaft seals and a compound polish.

Any other below the water line jobs that need doing can also be dealt with.

If all goes to plan we shall re launch her before the end of the month.

Great photos Jeff, thank you.

As you know, we have booked to visit Ros and yourself on Lady Emma, it will be a treat for us. How does Acle compare with Titchmarsh or is there no comparison?

Hi Phil,

Very much looking forward to catching up in person. It's been ages.

I loved our time at Acle. Made some great friends, enjoyed the village and all the surrounding areas......Not forgetting the Bridge Inn

Titchmarsh is a very different animal though.
Acle was rustic and small.
Titchmarsh is a huge Marina with great on site facilities and lovely gardens, lake, BBQ/Picnic area, shops, engineering, Soon to be re opened restaurant. It even has a Helipad

We have yet to really explore the boating areas. All of that will come in time as we gain more confidence/experience, as boating out at sea is rather different to boating on inland waterways.

We are looking forward to it though.
The good thing is. Having made some great friends back in Acle, it's only s short trip to visit and enjoy the Broads on board our friends boats or even taking Lady Emma for a run back to her old stomping grounds.
