Default Coolant leak

On my continuing search I've come across a nice looking ZTT 1.8.

Looking at the MOT check for the car in question the most recent MOT has one single advisory "coolant leak"

What are the most likely places that could be responsible for a leak, and how easy are they to get fixed?

I can see HH problems if it doesn't get sorted.

Inlet manifold gasket, water pump, thermostat are the main one's off the top of my head

If it is a 1.8 Turbo look at T piece that feeds coolant to the turbocharger, and connects several hoses in the cooling system. They can begin to leak from joints.


Many Turbo owners swop the original rubber t piece out for an alloy one. See link below.

Thanks for the tips, it is a turbo. Some good things to look out for if I go to have a look.

Also worth checking that the expansion cap is sound - they do need replacing eventually if the o rings start to fail.

Or you can just fit new 'O' rings. That's what I did. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
