Default Resurrection.......

In 2020 due to Covid ,a hip replacement, and then a urinary infection that went bad my ZT T was off the road. Covered on the front drive of a friends house. Some four years later, i decided to bring it back to life. During that time the brakes went rusty also the discs. One brake line went rusty and got a hole under testing. Parking back plates are done and so are the hubs plus a few other things. But the enging runs sweet .
I have done some of them. But it seems getting quality affordable parts i find troubling .Other than DMGRS or Rimmers where else can one go to other than ebay as i am finding them questionable ?

What parts are you after and why not go to Rimmers or DMGRS?

If you have the part number, sometimes Googling the part number can bring up suppliers.

I am trying to get:
Discs front /rear with pads. rear hub with integral abs ring (not the ones i have seen all over ebay with an external ring) + 32mm nuts. Rear/ front suspension top mount. Rear bump stops. New headlights as lens are badly faded. and a new front rad on. The belts have been done by a mobile mechanic. Brake fluid and cooling systems have been flushed by me All abs sensors changed by me. and basic service will be done by me.`m not willing to throw a chunk of money at this so i`m trying to do this on a budget .
Considering it sat for four years,it`s not bad and i could possible get away with not changing some parts until its MOT but peace of mind and all that.
Although Ebay has a wide choice of sellers i am finding it`s the details where the seller falls down.

Rimmers and DMGRS both have proper guarantees. Others on ebay etc you may have to send back so an added expense etc and not a good idea. I've never had a problem with Rimmers or DMGRS if anything needs replacing

Autodoc are worth a look but it can take a few days for delivery, prices are normally pretty competitive.

Can you polish the lenses? Had tpo do it to mine and there are kits with very fine abrasive sheets (2000 or 3000 abrasive paper) and fluid of some sort. Good luck with your eforts. Ref brake bits motor factes seem to supply brake bits and what I have obtained (pads, disks and brake shoes for the hand brake as well as brake back plates seem to fit and work OK.

Parts in motion on eBay I can vouch for, between these and rimmers are my main go to places these days if you can, wait for the eBay discount codes for upto 20% off and save quite a bit of money and get good branded quality items.

I haven't been able to source the original equipment rear hubs for quite a while. NTN/SNR were/are re-boxing FAG bearings with their own branding at inflated prices, as are X-Part.

FAG bearings aren't bad, but they are not OEM.

I agree. What you see advertised on a box is not always what you think is in them. When these companies take over , they also buy out marketing name rights. Autodoc have a good range of suppliers and i have found them pretty good, but again ,you do not 100% know what you are buying. DMGRS and rimmers are both Xpart suppliers , but we all know "things aint what they use to be " I think Xpart/rimmers will have the nearest to that albeit expensive. The problem is that most of these parts with different names are probably made by the same manufacturer , who or where of course we do not know.

I bought mine from DMGRS . They looked ok ,and have been in now 3yrs. Made in france ,but to be fair were ok and a lot cheaper. They were with the normal looking reluctors fitted in, and up to now have done the job. I did bear in mind that i am not a miles cruncher before buying ,and of course the price !
