Ad Aware - Anniversary Edition Blues?

I have used Lavasofts Ad Aware for donkeys ages now and been quite happy with it. However, having updated to the "Anniversary Edition", I find my computer now takes an age to boot up and seems to be generally slower. Has anyone using this product noticed anything similair?

A few reports on this,
Its the "Live" monitoring facility automatically enabled.
It uses quite a lot of system resources.
Disable it and/or edit startup list using "msconfig" and un tick it to prevent further startups,
putting you back in control so to speak.

Thanks JDC. I had in frustration uninstalled it and reinstalled the 2008 version on my main computer/laptop. Will give this a try on the kids computer now.
