Default Retro fit Sat Nav from Saloon to Tourer

Well, what a nightmare this has turned out to be.........the plate in the boot that the computer mounts on is completely different between the two body styles......The saloon version is huge in comparison to the tourer, and the tourer also has limited space due to the depth of the rear inner wings and appature of the cubby hole.

I've spent most of the day cutting, drilling nad bending and basically ended up with a pile of bits for the scrap man.

Corin has kindly offered to make one up, (thanks fella). I'll let you know.

getting everything else in was a piece of cake, but this has just about beaten me into submission.

I managed to buy one of these;

YIU105220

Unfortunately Rimmers list it as scrapped now. But there was an Xpart special offer on them via Premier so maybe they can still get them. Fitted my tourer fine, but would only be any good for a MK3 install or above as there are no GPS receiver mountings. Only fifteen squids so not worth the hassle of making one.

If photos would help, please shout.

It would appear you've bought the last one in the world.......no one has one, unless it's sitting on a shelf unlisted, but i doubt it as it was a factory fit option....

It's a real pain in the butt....
