Diesel air cleaner housing chafing heater hose

I noticed that the air cleaner housing was chafing on the heater hose. It is less than half way through the hose so I don't think the hose needs replacing. I slotted a piece of convoluted plastic pipe (used for wash hand basin overflows) and fitted it over the heater hose to protect it. One photograph shows the groove chafed into the heater hose and the other photograph shows the convoluted pipe fitted over the top of the heater hose.
