Depends on the type of upgrade ...
Whole pack;
Dials;
lights, etc ?

Message centre....you need a brand new uncoded IPK, a message centre indicator switch, and 1/2 an hour T4 time to code.

Wow, I'm genuinely surprised that a mod wouldn't already know that, or at least know how to search for it... !

As a mod I have to say my technical knowledge is somewhat limited, although it is certainly better than it used to be What I would say though is that the role of being a mod does not require a technical knowledge but amongst other things the ability to spend hour upon hour looking at posts! I'm pretty certain that Mick does know how to search for the answers and I am certain he has his reasons for starting this thread.

Anyhoo, back on topic

why are you surprised, i am not a mechanic, i am a butcher by trade, give me a pig and i will take it, bone the begger out cleaner than a freshly washed 75.
I am the first to admit i am very new to mechanics let alone electrics, hence going to college to LEARN.
Also it's easier to get a direct guage weather a job is beyond you if you ask directly.
This job does seem a bit more involved and may be put off till i know more

It honestly wasn't meant to be blistering. I was just surprised, that's all. I think perhaps I just had the wrong impression of the role of a moderator. Mick, I apologise if I've offended you, it really wasn't my intent.

But the description of the message centre as "the centre top animated thingy" did make me chuckle!

Following on with the theme of IPK's

SMC (?) have various for sale but which ones fit which cars... sorry, what I mean is:

All the KPH ones I hear can be changed to MPH by swapping out the dials.

So can I just buy any petrol, amber LED' set of clocks?

If this is thread jacking, maybe a kind MOD will move for me?

Thanks
Geoff.
