Default Diesel interior heater

Thanks Pondweed aka Must I have a title
I've read the info you suggested, but unfortunately it doesn't tell me where or how I can get a remote plipper that should have been supplied with the car. Dealer or Rover (deceased) didn't want to know even though it had been a management car.

Chances are you need the full fit

Look on Ebay Germany for Telestart T80 you can also buy the handset on its own but you need to be certain you have the receiver fittted etc

The fuel burning heater thing that does the "heating" can be quite correctly sitting under the bonnet doing its thing.
Where, dieselhead, were you told (or how did you infer)that you have the interior heating 'add on' ?

Exclamation Diesel Interior Heater

Thanks to all for your help.
The heater control unit is in the centre armrest and the heater works. What I am seeking is the remote control plipper which enables you to set and start the heater when away from the car.

ah. what a lucky boy. Still a possibility you have the switch but no remote actuation, as keith says. If you know it has, I reckon you stand a chance by finding the receiver for the T80 Telestart unit (who knows where these are on factory fit? -someone will come along?) and getting a code number off it and then contacting the factory. They will probably be able to sell you a coded one (?) but its probably not going to b as cheap as buying a whole new 'matched' telestart discounted, and replacing the lot. I've got a brand new T80 boxed -the hotline number in the instructions is Stockdorf, Germany (0 18 05) 93 22 78 but thats old stock so may have changed. or go through Webasto Uk 01302 322 232 - you might also be able to find a local dealer/fitter/agent through the website.
