![]() Hi to all who were watching my last thread on installing a mustang lump into a 75, you may have wondered what I've been up to and why I'd gone quiet? well, a couple of you friendly people put me in touch with a Jolly, Jolly nice man, TONYBUBBLE! thanks to Tony, a mutually beneficial deal was struck and I am now beavering away fully rebuilding 05. To anyone who has seen 05, I know that it looked a bit sorry for itself, but trust me, already you wouldn't think it was the same car

![]() Seem to remember a comment that the existing 75 tunnel for propshaft drive was a boon to the engineers designing the MGR V8, Think another problem still to resolve is which final drive or rear axle you are going to settle on?
I could help with Rover P6V8 parts, assume you have the gearbox? Pity you opened a new thread as original thread had lots of info, missing from this thread Admire your adventureist spirit, bit like building a kit car----but more tricky as yours will be a first! Guess you will need deep pockets! Seem to remember on ebay that a breakers yard in Axminster? Devon was breaking one winter before last------Guess someone lost it on the winter ice on those Devonshire hills Try a search on ebay? |

![]() John now has a proper V8 shell - from the protoype/development car 005. (This car is interesting in the fact that it never really turned a wheel, as it was built and then used as a classroom training vehicle). See here:
![]() As mentioned he also has a written off 260 Tourer, which should provide most of the required parts including the authentic drivetrain. I wish John every success with his venture and really look forward to seeing the results of his efforts.

![]() Pilsdon I would guess. They had the 260 a long while ago (two years ?) - a black SE on an 07 plate with a big side thump. Still selling the odd left over parts.

I saw those and was tempted but as I had a set of spare discs it wasn't really necessary. Good buy though. Last edited by Dragrad; 21st October 2012 at 03:59.. Reason: Consecutive posts |

Intended more like Bridport as I remember thinking that the car had probably come to grief on Charminster hill ![]() As I said it was winter before last, they had the wheels on ebay, seem to remember it was black so my guess now is that you later posters have the right place Its a good 10yrs since I travelled that way last ![]() Later, there is certainly a breaker in Dorchester 3disco, often pick it upon ebay Sorry to Hijack your interesting thread OP, but locations of breakers yards must be of interest to us all Last edited by Martynp; 11th May 2011 at 20:43..
