Default BMW owner needing some help!

Hope you Rover guys don't kick me out of here!

I have an Intravee iPod adaptor for my BMW which I'm selling to a friend. He has an E46 M3 CSL.

Upon inspection of his car, we realised it doesn't come pre-wired for a CD Changer like most E46s - no doubt part of the weight saving exercise. The Intravee actually uses the 2 cables which normally plug into the E46 CD changer in the boot - so without them it's useless. We could theoretically take them out of another BMW at a breaker's and even snip or rewire, but as they're part of a loom which runs the length of the car from the headunit to the boot and are tucked away, this would be an awkward job. Also, neither of us are particularly adept at wiring.

Upon chatting to another mate who's got some ICE experience, he mentioned early Rover 75s have the same cable for connecting the headunit to the CD autochanger as BMW - only it's shorter in the 75 as the CD Changer is in the glovebox, and thus the wire isn't part of a loom. This would sound like the ideal solution as we can put the Intravee up front, it doesn't have to go in the boot necessarily.

So .....

1) Can anyone confirm if this is correct?
2) Where would be the best recommended place to source this cable if so?

I've attached a pic. I would ideally need a cable which runs from the headunit to the CD changer, and the CD changer ends should be identical to those circled.

Thanks

Was away on hols so only back now and looking into this again.

Where would be the best place to source this cable, dealer? Or is there any decent aftermarket MG/Rover suppliers?

Edit - never mind, I see in that other thread that some suppliers are listed anyway. Cheers
