Leaky Crown alloy wheel - FREE or will be binned!
**WEIGHED IN**
I have a leaky Crown Alloy that is up for grabs, FREE to collector or will send via courier at your cost. It's in fairly good condition except for the leakiness, which is very bad. It comes with a tyre which has had some sort of dodgy repair to the sidewall, so needs to be binned (Michelin Energy Saver with 6mm of tread....pity). Please hold yourselves back and try not to cause too much of a stampede for this, as I know it will be extremely popular as everybody wants an odd leaky alloy wheel to use as a novelty garden ornament or as a giant paperweight. In the highly unlikely event that nobody wants this exciting and incredibly useful item then it will adorn the local recycling centre by the end of the month, as the guys there really do love this kind of thing. Just thought I would give people on here first refusal. Regards, Bolin. **WEIGHED IN** Last edited by Bolin; 14th August 2012 at 14:42.. |

I suggest you take it to a metal buying scrapyard, scrapmetal is at a premium & aluminium alloy is sought after----would not be surprised if you get £10 or more for it

I got £28 for 4x15" Subaru wheels the other day, which weighed around the same as the Crowns.
i.e. don't expect much over £7 |

Hmm, OK I will have to local the nearest scrap merchant that'll pay for it, and work out how much it'll cost for the return trip in petrol! Local tip looking most likely at the mo.

Went to scrap merchat today, as it was on my way.
I would have got £6-8 for it, but as it still has the tyre on they only offered £4. Better than nothing, so I accepted. Strangely, no one on here was interested in it as a novelty garden ornament. Can't think why. Mods, could you close or amend title please? Thanks. **WEIGHED IN** Last edited by Bolin; 14th August 2012 at 14:43.. |
