Anyone have one of facia part number 7608502000
http://www.clarionworld.co.uk/instal...del.asp?id=225 Seems like you could easily adapt it for a 2 din fitting.

I'm in no hurry. Did'nt look that deep into the spec's of the units, but we use PAL in Sweden as well. Send me an Email when it's time and i'll sort it out then. Just looked into a singel Din unit with Bluetooth and a 4" TouchScreen..it's tempting but not as much at as double DIN.

Work work and work Keith. Don't become a junior Doctor in a Hospital, what ever you do...
Other wise been keeping very well! The ZTT's looking good, despite the best efforts of local tradesmen (cement dust induced paint damage, arrrgh!) and parking dings from myopic yummy muumys dropping off Tarquin at the local primary school (and no, they didn't leave details!!! >) Thanks for that link - found that earlier today. Looks interesting, but possibly the wrong shape for a double DIN DVD? Mind you, perhaps nothing that a dremel couldn't sort out? How's your fleet? |

Nice work! May I ask, before going off to invest in a cheap fascia adapter, where do you get foam board, putty etc?
Also, I note that your Nav system sits quite a long way out front of the fascia panel? Is this a necessity, or the way you designed the mounting? Ideally, I'd like to get mine flush with the bottom of the panel at least... Oh, and which unit have you fitted? I'm seriously thinking about getting a Pioneer AVIC D3BTi... about 750 quid at the moment. |

Fantastic job! Far better than my attempt.
You pictures show perfectly how to do it. I keep meaning to redo mine but just don't have enough time these days. Also I want to look at sinking it further back. It has the space to sit further back but it has nothing stable to sit on back there. The putty I like to use is a 2 part epoxy putty (quick drying). Milliput is one brand by memory, it's used for modelling so is very fine. http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/sear...title=milliput Foam board or other types can be found at most art or stationary places, like Staples. Brutus, did you use the dremmel cutting method I mentioned? Did you find it as easy as I did?
