G'day all - everyone that's here that is - what with meets, rallies and cats, there can't be many out there
We're having the calm before the storm - NINE of us for a late Sunday lunch at 4.30pm - so that'll be another £15 worth of beef demolished by 5 o'clock - I doubt there'll be enough left for a stew tomorrow
I'm backing Derek on his premonition about a bad Winter - loads of berries in the hedgerows (sent by the Almighty to feed his birds in hard times) and we've already had more frost this Autumn than we had in the whole of Winter last year. By the laws of average, we're about due for a good deep freeze.
It's sunny up here, but there's a definite chill in the air unless you're standing directly in the sun's rays.

I thought I'll give the shed some wood treatment whilst it's been dry for a couple of days. As Rod said it's been quite mild & sunny here but the moment the sun goes behind the clouds it turns real chilly.

Sorted for winter now.

I gave the 75 a good valet today, outside, inside, under the bonnet etc. I have neglected her for the past 6 month's due to getting the other half's MGZT up to search Anyway, it's done now and I feel a lot better for doing it before the winter weather arrives

LOL we had some rain here but it disappeared almost as soon as it started.

I built a huge bonfire from all the old wood and pallets around our allotment

Will be lit on the 5th.

My mam lives just up the road from me & is always cooking cakes & pies. every time I take them shopping or for hospital/docs appointments (which there are a lot) I get given them, there's two big egg custard flans & two dead fly cakes she's brought round today.
