Morning all - from a sunny, but cold North Yorkshire. We've had a biting wind blowing in off the North Sea for a few days now - may have to use the central heating 'on' button again
Off for a scalping by the hairdresser this morning, and then I'll be putting an undercoat on the bathroom door frame - what fun.

Another fiasco Ian a mate just messaged. Tonight on the north circular, a car pulled out in front of him, with no lights on and no indicators. So he held back a bit and flashed his headlights behind them on and off for about a mile. No response. After having problems with side effects from the original atorvastatin the GP switched me to simvastatin, discovered its an older one with even more side effects! Even after reducing the dose by half I've no energy, muscle pains and the constant feeling of nausea is now so bad I've got to force myself to eat. Cholesterol is well under control so taking a break for a few days isn't going to do any harm. By the middle of the week the cardiac specialist's report should have reached the practice along with his recommendation to put me on a low dose of Rosuvastatin.

I was on Simvastatin for nine years, before changing to Atorvastatin, which for me, has definitely been a good move. Mind you, I'm convinced I have a better night's sleep when I forget to take it. Rosuvastatin is recommended by someone in the LCOZ (Phil?) as being very good in terms of lack of side effects. I think it is one of the more expensive statins, so I think it may be a battle to get it prescribed?
