Good morning all,late start to the day,getting ready for some shopping in Abergavenny and a 1 night stay in Angel hotel,bought by daughter as christmas present. Hope mrs behaves herself with shopping and in hotel tonight.

Good morning all, well that was an eventful flight. 18 hours, door to door and no hot food, just one sandwich for the main course and a small bag of nuts later on. British Airways Scrooges.

The flight had to be diverted to make an emergency landing in Venice, dump its fuel to land safely. Another passenger had an anaphylactic shock and stopped breathing. Fortunately, there were 2 RAF medics sitting next to me on their way out to Medi Vac a sick squaddie back to the UK tonight. They did their best to save the sick passenger, a young Mother was rushed off the plane to hospital. Her luggage had to manually removed and then our plane refuelled for the flight to Nairobi.

Fortunately the Italian and RAF medics had the right drugs and equipment to get the passenger breathing again.

In respect of saving a life, the Captn of the plane did a fantastic job in bringing the aircraft in hot, fast and safe. Apart from the dismal catering on-board, everything worked out right in the end.
