Sorry for the late reply Derek.

As i wasn't at work yesterday had a lot of stuff to catch up on

It was a bit of an epic journey.

Got up at six in the morning, got the fuel filled at the petrol station for the boat (our old boat had an outboard engine and portable fuel tanks) then arrived at the boat for 07.00hrs....

Started her up and then spent half an hour defrosting everything. Boat doesn't have the luxury of a heated windscreen.

Slipped the mooring at about 07.40 as the sun was just starting to rise
About half way down our marina encountered ice on the water so had to take it at dead slow.....She isn't an ice breaker

Got out on to the river and the windscreens froze up again so I had to drive with my head stuck out the side of the boat for nearly an hours sailing before the Sun had enough heat to melt the ice....

It took about two and a half hours to get to Wroxham in the boat but as the sun was rising it was a glorious (if freezing) day to be out on the water....

Took this about 08.00 as I was driving down the river Thurne.

Anyhow.....done all the paperwork and handover of our old boat and then it was time to do the reverse journey back in our new boat.....

It was a lovely tranquil drive back and on the way I saw my next house.......I wish

Another two and a half hours later our new boat Riverlight was tied up on our mooring....

Very shortly will be leaving to go back up (with Ros this time) tonight for our first night on board.

Will take her out tomorrow all being well and hope to have some more photos for you guys

Well done Captain Pugwash for avoiding those nasty icebergs on it's maiden voyage, or were they ice cubes
