I would expect two to work much better than one, because the unit switches between the two to whichever provides the best signal at that particular instant - its called a discriminating antenna system, exactly the same as the 75's original OEM Hi-Line system which I have just pulled out. The small magnetic one is only for the GPS and works great hidden inside the dash, behind the DD unit, just on top of the steel pipe at the back of the radio. The TMC antenna doesn't work very well no matter where you put it, so look at my suggestions to resolve that problem. I wedged the two TV antennas either side of the rear window and vertical, with the DVB-T unit in the wheel well, with A/V cables feeding all the way to the front. I'm looking to find adaptors to test the Hi-line's built in antennas, as a possible alternative to those supplied by Sean, but Sean's work very well indeed.

I thought we were all getting the same model !.. And I was pretty sure that in one of Sean's posts he stipulated that the DVB-T came with TWO powered Antenae...will have to have a look !...

Hi Harry, It is a very nice unit isn't it. I had the same problem. Can I ask which wire is the parking brake connection. Also where did you connect it to. Cheers Terry. Last edited by taxi-dermist; 10th October 2010 at 20:18.. Reason: addition |

I have just disabled that, with the intention of using the parking brake connection on the head unit, expecting to be able to find such a connection either in the head unit loom or the old TV receiver connections in the well, but was not able to find one. I'm now advised there is no need to connect it as there is a setting (yet to be confirmed) within the new head unit to disable TV/video viewing when the car is moving. I guess that much be run off the GPS?

Hi Sean and all.
Thanks very much for my new unit. I have a small problem getting my Satnav to work I hope someone on here could point a finger in a certain direction. Sorry guys Im not a very computor minded person. 1- I press the Main Menu and selected GPS. 2- Then I selected Navigation. 3- A black box appears with the wording "Not find Navigation software". 4- I got rid of this box and clicked set up, then I clicked Navigation setup. 5-This opens up another page showing a folder symbol. Ive clicked the folder to open it. This opens up another page with the wording N and Flash. There is no more text. What do I do next? Ive ticked the box - "Start whether run navigation software automatically". Ive also tried my old SD card from my previous unit, again my new unit is unable to find the software. Thanks for any help. Cheers Steve.
