Yes I've already done that, there's only one BMW option in there and it's selected.

Have you gone onto any of the BMW forums as there may be others on those forums who have the same problem or have rectified it?

The swc on our cars does not work through the canbus and our cars do not have the canbus interface on the head unit so it is different in operation .

It may be worth you unplugging the canbus interface and reconnecting it again and see if the communication is restored

Yes ok, thanks for the advice. I came here first because it seems to be the most active forum for the Navall, but I will now explore the BMW forum.

It is indeed, the only problem being that on our cars the canbus is not part of the car radio wiring so it is not used, no canbus interface is fitted and the steering wheel controls are hard wired into a different loom provided .

I would try unplugging the canbus and plugging it back in and see if that kick starts it working.

If not maybe give Sean a PM and see if any other BMW guys have had simalar and if there is a work around.

I've installed a few of these into E46 cars but have not yet tried them with the firmware update so can't advise much further in afraid.

Good luck and I'm sure you'll get it sorted

The bad news/or good depending on your outlook is the Dvb receiver is working fine here.
Even when dropping/attenuating the signal by 9db I'm still receiving a useable picture with only a small amount of break up.

This suggests to me that your problem is still a lack of signal somewhere.
