Good Morning Andy, thank you

Tomorrow we are flying to the coast and staying at the hotel below, a little treat. We are hoping we can go swimming and snorkelling.

Have you any plans for your next holiday abroad?

Morning all, It's still raining here with lots of standing water around.

Morning Phil, I don't have that photo any more, The PC hard drive it was on went belly up a few years ago & I hadn't backed them up.

The photo they were given was from Jan 2020 prior to getting our electricity supply de-looped from neighbours houses & the fuse/cut off switch upgraded from 60A to 100A, I had to send them pics at the time so that they could see what work needed doing to our old fuse board.

They were given that old photo by mistake & came to do the work that was done in Jan 2020 It was misinformation between office & work team

Morning. Cold with heavy rain here, apparently it’s falling as snow further inland.

Maybe not yourself but some mistake a broken OS for a broken HDD. If your old HDD is still spinning then it may be possible to retrieve its contents such as pics with a Live Linux CD.

Another frustrating morning of "merry go round" phone calls to arrange a home visit physio for mum! After an hour and a half of calls, waits, listening to menus and sub menus, of how my call was important and a plastic lady thanking me for being patient, being transferred and re-routed and that I was now number ** in the queue, more inane music and mind numbing rythms, I finally end up with a human that tells me to ring another "team", follow the same system and ditto all as above, to be told, eventually, that I need to be referred by my doctor's surgery.

More menus, sub menus da de dah and I have to take all the paperwork to the surgery! Trip to surgery, to be given the telephone number that is on the first piece of paper (that I rang first)! By this time I just stood my ground and very calmly stated all that I have written above. I continued by saying that the home visits were for exactly the situations that my 98 year old mum was now in (Deaf, blind, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, in danger of falls etc.). I turned around to see lots of elderly folks in the surgery, nodding in agreement.

I left with these words in my ears:- "I'll put a note on the doctor's to do list and add it into your mum's file. Leave it with us."

I turned round and said that if he could also prescribe me a nice bottle of Scotch, I would appreciate it! The faces in the surgery were much brighter when I left, than when I arrived!!!

It turned out to be the HD, I put another HD in the desktop with the same Linux OS & it ran fine, I wasn't too bothered about the few pics that were on that PC as they'd swerved their purpose.

I'm filling me boots in the train sim world Winter sales, Some stonking bargains to be had.

Wind the clock back to the 1990s and experience the flagship of the Deutsche Bundesbahn; be enveloped by stunning Rheinland countryside, from the shimmering river to castle-topped hills, and serve historical towns in style with Train Sim World 3: Linke Rheinstrecke: Mainz - Koblenz! It was one of their flagship routes & 90% off in the sales

Evening all,

Actually managed to go to work today as the rain relented.

Quick and easy Chicken&Leek pie and veg for dinner.
Not my own pie but from a local shop that stocks them and they are brilliant

Tomorrow the weather looks promising so it will be down to the boat for more cleaning.
