Megane on the driveway? Sensible idea, best left there...

Father in-law just upgraded from an old p reg Megane to a 53plate scenic with 68k on it, bargain he said at £1300...No one wants his old car even though it's taxed & mot'd for a bit.. Think I upset him when I asked if the cambelt had been done on his new one and he didn't know Just a book full of stamps, no bills..So if it hasn't that'll be three or four hundred on top..not so cheap then..I'd found them a nice 54 plate 1.4 (it's only used for shopping) with a big history folder and 'just' had the belt done for £1400..twin sunroofs, almost top spec...didn't want to know

No telling some people....

The original scenics were actually not all that bad, we had some at my last workplace and apart from devouring coil packs, they were pretty trouble free. Comfy too. The Espace also was surprisingly pretty good, always a sense of occasion when inserting the keycard and all the dash came to life!

The best Renault in recent times was the original Kangoo - cheeky and basic, roomy and fun to drive.

We had a Mk1 Espace 2Ltr TXE for a couple of months, the wife hated it so it had to go, I loved it cos it went like stink and it still felt different even though it was old & a bit rough round the edges and of course it was superb for moving motorbikes around which was why we bought it..

French never lost their war, they just surrender and leave it to the citizens to fight it.

I had a Renault 19rt turbo diesel which was really comfy to drive and faster than most diesels i've driven. Especially good was the remote locking using an infared sensor near the rear view mirror and the same leather steering wheel that my mate had in his clio williams as standard only cost me £250 too.
