I've always used the SRP with then regular washing using the Autoglym car shampoo; works lovely. Also have found on several cars that in the unlikely event of needing some paint it can be removed and a new paint application can work. Not had experience of other polishes but some finishes probably have allot of silicone waxes in which help with durability but are difficult to rub off. I like waxing so happy to do it regularly. Sad man!

Simply not true, and body shops are quite able to remove any top coat. SRP is not a top coat, its a filling light polish that offers little protection on its own, and is actually full of filler oils itself. More advanced products contain much more durable and protective fillers that won't cause your wax layer to fall off. Silicone is rarely used in quality products these days.

Over use of SRP will thin your lacquer, you should only need it maybe twice a year if your top coat is up to much and your paint basically sound.

My favourite combo of polish and wax is Poor Boys World Professional Polish topped off with Dodo juice. Although the Dodo juice is only recommended for darker coloured cars(mines x power grey). The water beading is amazing it runs off so fast.

Yeah the poorboys has no fillers or anything in it, so your wax bonds to naked paint which is best for durability. Of course its only good if you have no swirls, since it isnt a glaze (like SRP is), so wont fill or hide them.

Prima Amigo is designed to offer the best of both. The layer it puts down is very hard and not oily so your wax bonds to it, and it offers the filling and depth of shine of a conventional glaze.

Will have to check out the Prima Amigo gear. Luckily my car had been machine polished a few weeks before I bought it so swirls weren't an issue but I'm sure they will be in the future!

As stated the SRP is filler heavy and will affect durability of anything laid over it.

Amigo is nice a good paint cleanser in its own right, fk is a great value product.

EGP does not have much in the durability stakes its simple to use mind.
