Are we talking about the front and rear footwell lights that Christopher fitted. MGR never suplied these Christopher made up his own and wired them into the circuit for the interior lights.

I wondered that but then noted that he had quoted the original post from Biker in a suit and thought he had miss read tyre well for footwell :lol:

Thats one of the things I don't understand, touches like foot well lights and puddle lights on the doors with the little red light on the doors (rather than a cheap reflector) these things would make very nice touches that would of finished the 75 off nicely, I wouldn't of thought it would of been a great cost considering the price of the car.

I do agree, but take into consideration running on a shoestring budget. Build 30,000 cars a year and save £10.00 on each. Lot of dosh. (a directors wages for a year)

These things are easy to retro-fit to our cars at very little cost and pretty satisfying having done them ourselves. Makes them just that bit more special.

Yep
Each door and boot latch mechanism contains an integral microswitch. When a door or the boot is open, the
microswitch contacts are closed completing an earth path to the BCU. When the door is closed, the earth path is
removed and the connection becomes open circuit.
