Is there any reliable source of information as to why these footballers refused to wear these shirts? If so I haven't seen any... Besides that all I will add as a black person is that racism has many forms and I deal with it on a daily basis. I don't like seeing trivialised. In any way.

I don't follow Football (thankfully) but have just found this http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20048531 and thought it might be something to do with it!

I await with interest the introduction of a White Football Players Association............

There are plenty of other comedians who push the boundaries. By far the best stand up I've ever gone to was when Brendan Burns was on in Lincoln. He makes Frankie Boyle look tame. He's very much the same style, mocking the stereotypes and people who are racist, sexist etc. If you don't like a performers style, don't go to their show or watch the programme their on. A bit like music, we all have our own tastes. If you like Frankie Boyle, try and find some videos of Brendan Burns!!!

Presumably then if frankie boyle is merely sending up racists, then the daily mirror can say they are merely sending up politically correct people, and then say anything they like, regardless of whether it js offensive.
I sense a bit of the bully here, knocking other people whilst claiming it is merely a joke
And like all bullies he cant take what he gives out, running to the law when someone hits back.
Its a bit shameless, claiming free speech to ridicule the disabled, and when someone has a pop at him he gets all upset.
