Building new cars to replace cars that are only eight years old dosent seem very green to me?

I hate the idea of any of the cars I've owned over the years being scrapped.

I know somebody chopped a Rover P4 in for the scrappage scheme. It did get saved but even so!!

Im a bit like one of those old ladies that take in stray cats, who will end up with 50 cats and a knock from the RSPCA, If I had the cash and the space I think I would try to save every classic I possibly could. It's not even about classic cars, it's about any car that has been kept on the road for 20/30 plus years deserves to remain on the road.

So this could mean that more, and later 75's going for scrap..

I would like to think that there will be a cheaper, greener replacement!

Fingers crossed anyway.
