Well all sorted now.

Alternator replaced everything working (wallet is £253 lighter)

I need to get alternator replaced on my Rover75 diesel. Where did you get it replaced & was yours a diesel? Live in York so not too far away.

I'm in swansea mate, that about 5 hrs from you.

I went to my local auto electrical they tested the battery and alternator, then replaced the alternator.

To be honest any local garage should be able to do it.
