Yeah right, fortunate my steering wheel is on the left. Otherwise I would be changing gear with the right door handle:lol: . As far as I noticed, there is no other dutchman in this forum, is there? Which proves how difficult it is to get some good information about the rover 75 in Holland.
Anyone else who has a suggestion for the retrofix from the Low into High line NAVSAT is welcome in this thread. Keep you guys informed, Ralph |

The wiring loom
Hello all,
Well, I've bought the cable loom at:http://shop.kufatec.de/product_info....t.html/cat/126  Very expensive £164.00 includes shipping This is my plan: with the CD of all partnumbers I have, I wil make a small demo on the floor with all the stuff I need and make some pictures of it to show you. Some components I need are already build in the car, like the bracket foor the MKIII (its the same as the MKII I already have) so I will wait for the last episode to connect everything together and try to get it work on a 12V battery. I now have the following: - Alpine High Line headunit - MKIII GPS unit - (Soon) teh cable loom Keep you all informed Regards Ralph Last edited by damydyo1; 10th March 2007 at 22:23.. Another step closer Ralph
Taking pictures and adding part numbers and links to where you got parts from would be a great help to other members wanting to do the same or looking to replace faluty parts. Good Luck |

Partnumbers for the retrofit Alpine High Line
Hello guys,
Here's a overview list of all partnumbers you need for this operation. Some of the components you don't need, because they are already in your car. Compare the partnumbers of LowLine with HighLine and see what you don't need. For example: if you have a Alpine Low Line Symphony SATNAV, you already have the receiver-global positioning system with partnumber YWY100240A build in you car wich fits on the High Line. Saves a lot of time and money searching the web or suppliers. Regards Ralph Last edited by damydyo1; 11th March 2007 at 23:21.. Reason: Changed old for newer pdf file |

Partnumbers Low Line
Guys (no girls yet),
And here is the list of the Low Line radio components to compare with the list of the High Line. Notice you don't need all the brackets as shown. Simon W: weren't you earlier looking for partnumber 5 "switch pack-navigation" partnumber YUB100590PUY for the Low Line? Regards Ralph:lol: Last edited by damydyo1; 11th March 2007 at 22:48.. I asked around and a company in Holland (Wheels Online), who has a lot of experience with retrofitting the low to high line, told me that the TV module is not needed for navigation. I don't need television in Holland, because there is no analog signal here anymore. So I'll keep that TV module to the last to buy and test the whole system first without it. I'll keep you informed in this thread. Regards, Ralph |

I'm sure you need it (TV Tuner) for the Graphics etc. Will have a look later on. Keith may respond quicker, depends if he is still Manic too. |

It depends on the harness you bought
if it is identical to the standard Rover one you must have the TV module If it is the base BMW version of the harness then you may find that as the TV module was an option on some cars and the module came with a patching harness that you will not need the TV module Basically count the plugs at the boot end if you have five big ones, one black, two blue, one white, and one plum you will probbly need the TV module |

Questions from kufatec
Guys,
I orderded the cable loom at kufatec. They asked me a lot of questions. Everything in german  I sent them these pictures they asked for: They make the cable loom by hand, so now I have to wait. All the connectors will be fitted by these photographs. There is a difference between the Rover E46 radio module and the BM24 BMW radio module, but the connectors are the same. Can't wait untill tey send it. I'm sure I still need some other stuff like steering wheel modules, interfaces or brackets. Does anyone know about this? Keep you all informed, till the Lux meet Regards Ralph |
