I have no experience on the system fitted to your car, David, so I can't make any sensible comment, unfortunately.
Only to say that in the 13 years that I have been involved with LPG ECUs I have only seen one failure, and that was on a BRC unit due to a flooded Rover 75 plenum. It looks as if you have been very unfortunate.

The car went in yesterday, and whilst I was there they plugged in the diagnostic kit to check the ECU. Turns out it's fine!! I've just blown the switch! I'm a happy bunny now! Few quid for a switch instead of £300 for a new ECU!

Thats a result mate!
I have just had the same issue as you , a dead system................my ECU was fried by what appears to be a bad injector or 2 shorting.
anyway, the Marini system fitted was obsolete so i got on to the guy that used to do them and he supplied a Morreli system....all the wireing needed to be changed.
It was faily easy and he was a great guy, anyway its all fitted now and i just need to tweak the software with me laptop. It runs fine but stalls when i slow quickly and depress the clutch to soon.....apparently it just needs fifddling!
the good news is that its more efficient!

I'm very pleased to hear this.
I take it quite personally when an LPG system goes wrong, no matter which brand.

So you'd recommend hytek and the marelli system then ??

Thinking of using the zafira as a guinea pig for my first fit, and if ok then go on to do the V8.

Steve's lad, Phil was very helpful on the phone and went into great detail how to do a fit !!
