Thought this may help some newbies to installing a DD (like myself) who suddenly have 20 wires to connect - halfway down in wiring section the wires are all explained.

Any update on removing the map card, I now see that when ordering the unit the card slot is empty and you order the map card separate

Can I bench test the h/u with my portable 12 v battery, is it a case of wiring the red and black leads to it?. I just want to see if it is as good as my Navall 2. Is the sound on the radio any good?. Thanks, John.

Yes, you can bench test it.
Red and Yellow -> battery +
Black -> battery -

You will have to connect the + Power Yellow and the + ACC Red wire together, then obviously the Black wire to grown (-).

The sound quality is superb, the radio is FM & AM with 18 pre-sets each. Also has Traffic Announcement (TA), Alternative Frequency (AF), Program Type (PTY). Has the Radio Data System (RDS) where you can receive digital information such as station name and programme information including track and artist on some FM broadcasts.

For anyone looking to change the LED colour, just select the 'Colour' app, this brings up a pie-chart of many colours (there is a lovely warm orange to match the 75's dash illumination).

Just dont select 'Speed Control Volume' it drives you mad, the faster you go, the more the volume increases.

You can goto 'Settings' and Select 'Display' then select 'Brightness Mode' or you can pull down the tab menu bar at top on screen, same on any android device.

Has anybody connected up a reversing camera to their units?

According to the wiring diagram on these the pink wire connects to the handbrake and the brown wire to the reverse, it was always the opposite way round on the other double dins. Not sure if it will do any harm if wires are wrong way round!

Steve.

The brown wire connects to the reverse (I just tested it on the bench.)
