Any Xpart dealer/service centre can supply the correct fluid and since I believe Rimmers are an X Part dealer I suspect that X Part is their supplier as well.

Well I had a long conversation with an auto specialist near where I live, I was straight to the point, and asked him can you use Dextron in the Rover 75 Jatco box, his reply was this, hmm I would not use Dextron in those boxes after a overhaul, fluid change, top up, etc, as it does not meet the specks those boxes require, so no is my advice, so if I cannot get hold the MG/Rover fluid, is there an alternative that you have used with no come backs, he said absolutely and its (have you a pen?) Mobil LT 71141, the only advice I need to give you with this fluid is have it changed every 35 to 40 thousand miles instead of the recommended manufactures interval.
We then moved on to how a duty cycle of a suspect component in my auto box was carried out, and some other technical workings of the auto box, a very informative, highly skilled guy was my thoughts after putting the phone down. Its a debate that will carry on and on me thinks. |
