It wouldn't be worth it to break it as it would take ages to recoup all your money since you'd have to wait for someone with the right colour, spec etc. to need each part.

I'd try more trade garages. Being a diesel it will sell, but perhaps at a lower price because of the time of the year. With the vat rise soon especially, a lot of people will be looking to change for a diesel in the new year, I know I've been tempted myself.

A trade in value is based upon the vehicle you are buying- less profit in the deal- less in trade in value.

I get speaking to customers all the time "oh the garage across the road offered me £4000" and then try to explain to them that they are looking at a similar car that I have that is £1000 cheaper in my garage and I'm offering them £3000, and yet some people can't get it in their head it's the same deal- they just want more for the car to feel better it seems.

i'm going to post the up to date trade book prices.

My fathers trade in price on his VW Touareg V10 TDI against the New 2011 VW Phaeton was shocking

The V10 just isnt everyones first choice due to its poor MPG locally

I am open to sensible offers on the ZT for a quick sale as its only sat in the workshop gathering dust and im getting the urge to start the breaking for spares process
