Hi.
Most if not all digital recordings are lossy to some extent, its a fact of life.
What we have to remember is when you are driving the quality of our audio systems can be drowned out by wind, road and mechanical noise. OK so we can up the power of our ICE with Amplifiers, sub-woofers and expensive speakers, add that to the other noise when driving and you will be punishing your ears.
I've done it and lost my hearing by 55db @ 8Khz and use hearing aids. My job in the TV trade in days gone by that included Audio and band equipment put paid to a great love of Hi-Fi and music.
So be careful with your ears!
