Well the weather held out for the meet. 6 cars made the meet. Nice pub and good grub. Many thanks to Mr Shed for putting it altogether. Thanks to Ian & Jan who made the long haul from Weymouth Dorset for the meet. Will post some pictures later.

Despite torrential rain earlier in the morning and a couple of lakes on the roads it cleared up a lot by 12 pm, It was good to see redfive who had a far longer journey than rest of us, the food was good even if the menu was a trifle limited, and a lot of goos humoured banter was had by all.
I hope bob wont mind me putting up a few pics incliding his xmas shot !! |

Waggon & Horses
Hi All,
Thank you to everyone for making it through the torrential rain and coming today, making it a very enjoyable afternoon meeting few familiar faces in Bob and Mike but also Ian and Sue, Derek and John at his first meet. The location was easy to find with good food, friendly staffand a good selection of ales although I didn’t get chance to sample as I was driving. We had a total of 6 cars all looking good considering the conditions, interesting to look at John’s LPG conversion and talk through his installation. Didn’t get chance to look to much at everyone’s car but sometimes it’s just good to chat and have some banter. Aaron my son came along too and enjoyed the cars and the pub library in which he found a chess set, once everyone was under way home we stayed for an hour and played chess in the arm chairs, and he let me win a few too lol. Hope you all enjoyed it as I did and had a safe journey home, I will look into arranging another one in a month or so, let me know. Thank you again, hope to see you all again soon. Tony |

And a few more. Will post the rest later on in the week. And I ended up taking "The Flying Banana", in case anyone is looking for "Blue Thunder" in the pictures.

Morning all
Just a word of thanks to Tony for getting our little get together organised yesterday both Jan and myself enjoyed it greatly & it was good to meet you all..Thanks to Bob as always for the pics.. Despite the weather doing it's best to spoil our journey home we made it with no problems we were however somewhat later than planned as after calling see friends at Bournemouth we ended up going to a birthday party so it turned out to be a long(but very enjoyable) day.. Thanks again Ian & Jan

Interesting journey there - all roads apart from m1 going south were flooded.
And my shannon tube needs work, so a 15 minute journey turned into 40. But a nice get together in a pleasant atmosphere. |
