What? What? What?
C'mon Dragrad, I've been reading this saga for years.
What the hell was the final fix? And...........out of the 95% parts replacement programme, which ones were necessary, and what do you have to pay for? Happy you've got the car back though! Mick |

OK OK OK you guys.
Day 1 joined RAC What went into the ten and a half weeks..... 1 x New ECU 4 x Recon injectors 1 x crank sensor 1 x airbag control unit 1 x heatshield ????????? (Edit - forgot that one) All other pressures, pumps and engine mechanics tried, tested and passed. Lots of to-ing and fro-ing 4 x lifts to the various 3 garages. Electronics analysis by 2 garages (Both X-Part service centres). Car hire Then today bingo. Car under own power. Got her back. Seems fine ..... EXCEPT CD changer error on radio????????????? "No CD detected" (or something like that) "Err" showing in to the left of the mileage section of the dash ????????? Blip keys don't work. ?????????? so far......... I was just glad to have her back so I just cut my losses and ran. All I need now is a man (or woman) with a T4 who really does know how to program a R75. Anybody out there? (Travelling costs + will be covered:lol. If any of you guys break down in West Wales. Get the car to Lates, or other known quality service guys.forget anyone around here. Although I told them about the chip in week one, day 1 by fax and phone (two all 3 garages). They only took it off yesterday (after I reminded them) to use the T4!!! What a bunch of cowboys!!!!! Oh yeah total cost ....................... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Hope you're sitting down, and not holding something that can hurt or stain....... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . £2,900.00 (including VAT at 17.5%) Looking on the bright side, a similar car to mine was selling from a used car sales man at £5999.99. I paid a lot less, so on this principle had I bought the local one at the time, I am only £900 out of pocket. (Please don't anyone make me believe otherwise or I'll cry) That it folks. 10 weeks of hell for living in the wrong part of the country. 3 problems to resolve (see above). Oh! and Xmas is cancelled  Oh yes, reason for the fault? : shrug::s hrug::sh rug::shr ug:

I would refuse to pay some of that for sheer Incompetence.
I am so relieved that you have your car back though, and as said was feeling it badly for you. Keith would be a good person to get in touch re T4 and have a day trip[ out for testing. The error message seems as if certain parts are not "matched". |

Glad to see she's running again, I have been following this with interest, it seems to have been running as long as LOST.
