Default Head unit..

Hi Tony, Many thanks for your very welcome help today, I would have given up long ago. The problem I have now is when I put the card in to my card reader it comes up as removable disc" I " in Windows Media, I cannot find any files to open, sorry about this Tony. John.

Smile Head unit..

Hi All, I was in trouble today with installing my head unit, and Tony went above and beyond to phone me and talk me through everything. Brilliant, I now have a working system. Tony, I have done as you say to open the files on the card but there is no "sys txt" just sys which opens in Notepad, the port is no.2 but the baudrate is 4800, any advice please?. Best regards. John.

Teamninja, 32Gb is the maximum I have seen quoted.

Lathbury, you have opened the correct file, just amend the 4800 to 9600 save changes and retry it. (The 3 letter file extentions are just set to hidden on your PC)

Sorry guys it may have been answered but because the original thread was so long I did'nt go thru' it all, I have a Club SE with standard radio equipment. Will this nice bit of kit simply "plug and play" on my car or is it more to it than that?

It's just a straight swap you might have to buy a BMW to a ISO adaptor eBay £5 Or from Halfords £15.99 it's just so easy to do. so much better than the standard head unit.

John all you do is save the file. And then reinsert the micro card. It should then auto connect the GPS on the head unit.
