Keith

The figures out today are now confirmed there are only 21 S reg cars left of the rover 75 range. 6 RHD and 15 LHD, S542 AOX is also the only surviving dorchester red in all of the S regs and the only surviving 2.5 engine in the AOX range, with one other 2-5 car also in wedge wood on the LJW range.

The one at LONGBRIDGE S525 OVP Is the oldeest car from December 1998 so far and this one I want to save also its the only 1-8 left available.

I hope this helps, but the S542 AOX is quiet unique now, and the figures keep coming in.......

Yes but you could then sell the private plate & never know may get half the value of the car!!

I have checked the price of those plates with a plates company worth £200 in-all.

so these will benefit more work to the car.

After three calls I finally got through to talk to someone this afternoon.

It is a no go, he wanted more than I am prepared to pay, a lot more
I offered £900 based on the condition I understand it to be in.

He didn't even want to note down my phone number and think about it. which is either very arrogant or just plain stupid.

Nice idea but I had set a max budget of £2000 plus probably another £500 for tax and insurance to sort it into a roadworthy condition and that means getting it here for less than £1k was the target.

He did say it need 1/2 a litre of water and a bit of oil rather than 2 watering cans full!

I could see I was wasting my time so left it at that.

Hi Guys.

I was interested in this as well - guy I spoke to today said they wouldn't let it go for less than £1400 and hung up on me.

I might be able to help with transport if any one gets it.

PS

If I lived closer I would go and appraise it myself and perhaps reconsider although not to circa £1300 that I think he wants but 175 miles there and 175 back for what may well be a wasted journey would just make the whole exercise even more frustrating.

Big thanks to Messenger for offering to haul it up here at cost
