Is picky the only one who has taken the plunge?

I'm very tempted to just buy it right now, the Ipod update and tmc i'm not bothered with, has anyone else ordered one from Cathy?

theres 4 other employees e-mail address's on the website and Cathy is the only one we write to, looks like we have ALL written to her

Poor Cathy she's been very busy lately!

No it won't, the old car discount disappeared in 1999 I think, to get rid of all the folk doing up old jags to modern spec and paying tax on a third of their list price which would have been relatively low anyway, and to force us all to run newer cars to denude the earths resources at an ever faster rate of knots.

I pay less tax on my £24k MG than I did on my £14k Mondeo due to emissions but unless I go hybrid or silly small I don't think I'll save again.

Might buy the MG though, but I don't think I can justify it.

I've ordered and paid for one this morning, same unit as Picky's as I wasn't bothered about the DBV-T or TMC.

I've been dealing with Lily made a mistake with the email address, she has been extremely helpful over the last few days.

Unfortunately it seems I've paid £10 more though, still happy with the overall price.

Now the waiting begins.

Are these a straight 'plug & play'? Do you need any extra wiring & is it confirmed that the steering wheel controls work?

Plug and play on a standard install, don't know yet about the hi-line units due to a lot of stuff in the boot.It came with two extender cables that plug into the back of the unit then you plug the two iso blocks into one extender and the steering wheel connector in to the other extender.Thats all there is to it, no wires to cut ,no wires to connect elsewhere as I didn't bother with the handbrake wire as it can be over ridden in the setup menu anyway.Steering wheel controls are set in the menu ,you can map any button to any function shown in the menu, the choice is yours.

Steering wheel setup page.

Picky, thanks for all your efforts and bringing it to our attention.

Looking forward to getting it now, Lily said it would hopefully be shipped in the next day or two.
